Come join us THIS weekend to celebrate the Grand Opening of MR. MANITAS Fruteria and Smoothie Bar. Mr. Manitas is an endeavor of Julian's own Marino-Gonzales family--Cara and Jose along with Uncle Steven. The Fruteria serves up traditional Mexican fruteria fare such as tortas (sandwiches), fresas con crema (strawberries & cream), home-made paletas (fruit popsicle), aguas frescas (yummy fresh home made fruit juice drinks) and Mexican style fruit salads. In addition, Mr. Manitas offers a traditional taqueria BBQ on Saturdays and Sundays featuring tacos made with BBQ meats and home made salsas and condiments. Delicious!
Mr. Manitas is unique in all of the American Southwest for using organic ingredients including Strauss organic greek yogurt, home made organic granola and local raw honey and bee pollen. This is a reflection of Cara's dedication to serving natural whole foods. She even makes the chipotle mayo for the tortas from scratch!
