We are so happy to welcome Tracy Turner this Sunday at the Farmers Market! She will have vegetable and herb plants to help get you started with your garden, along with a variety of young plants like tomatoes, squash, melons, beans, peppers, cucumbers, and eggplant in 4" pots for $1 to $2. All of Tracy's plants are started and grown organically in her greenhouse in Ramona. She also plans to have a variety of Herbs in one gallon containers for $5 each at the Sunday Market. Tracy has been growing vegetables at her "you-pick" garden in Ramona for the past 10 years, where she helped to form the Ramona Garden Club. In 2009 she expanded plant sales to Wynola in a little garden shop. Be sure to stop by and meet her, she's a great gal to know here in Julian. Besides owning an operating Wynola Junction Antiques just down the road, http://www.wynolajunction.com , she was in the peace corps as an agriculture volunteer, her dad owns a local apple orchard, she's a really nice and humble person with a great sense of humor, and be SURE to ask her about her 2 babies that were just born on Friday--here's a picture of one of them below...See you tommorrow!
Awwwwww!
Oh, and don't forget all of our other great weekly vendors, including: Baba Foods with Fresh Hummus, Fresh Hot Sambusas and Tamales, Nuts, Reusable Tupperware, Julian Bakery featuring Fresh Baked Breads and Apple Pie, and 6 or more produce tents full of locally grown fresh fruit and vegetables!
